VegAlert
VegAlert is an initiative of Microgaia Biotech, within the program Horizon 2020 - SME Instrument -2- 2016-2017. It is intended to generate a change of trend in the current prevention of diseases in horticultural crops.
Vegalert is a tool that will make it possible to convert the current systematic application of phytosanitary products by an objective application, based on real and reliable data on the phytosanitary status of crops.

VegAlert, is much more than a phytopathological diagnostic service. It is an innovative continuous crop monitoring service that combines the benefits of rapid and accurate diagnosis with a decision support system, based on periodic sampling and an alert system, even before planting and all throughout Production.

Thanks to VegAlert, the farmer will have "real-time" information about the phytopathological status of his crop and his soil.
In this way he will be able to anticipate a possible problem, thus optimizing phytosanitary treatments.
The farmer can decide whether or not a treatment is necessary, what the best time to apply is and the most specific product. The effectiveness of the treatment will be maximized and costs and waste will be minimized.
